GSM cell phones and GPS devices broadcast a steady stream of location clues. Even email messages can be mined for information.
If a target is using a simple phone that contains a SIM card, we can triangulate their approximate position by taking a look at their GSM data. But if the target is using a smartphone equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System) technology, our job is even easier. Most people know that GPS devices communicate with satellites that orbit the earth. What they don’t know is that GPS information can be intercepted and used to find missing people and assets. If the target isn’t carrying a phone, it’s often still possible to conduct an investigation. Even a single email message contains a large amount of useful data (IP addresses) that can be used to narrow down a target’s location.
Tracing down anonymous emails
In order for an email message to travel from one computer to another, it has to have an IP address. IP addresses function just like ordinary mailing addresses– they point to where the message is going and show where the message has been. Without an IP address, an email will go exactly nowhere. All email messages– even anonymous ones– are “stamped” with several different IP addresses. That’s why even so-called “anonymous” emails are traceable.
Restricted phone calls & SMS messages
Blocked phone calls and SMS messages are only superficially anonymous. Just because your screen reads “unknown caller” or “restricted” doesn’t mean that the people on the other end of the line can’t be tracked down. Our experts are capable revealing any mystery caller’s true identity.
Tracking scattered location data points
Location data doesn’t have to be perfect for it to be useful. Even when the target is purposely trying to conceal his or her location, their position can still be pinpointed with a high degree of accuracy. Our analysts use advanced triangulation algorithms to make sense out of ambiguous data. As we track a target over time, the picture inevitably becomes clearer and clearer.
Track and Locate Q&As
Every morning, my company receives a new anonymous email threat. The police say that there is nothing they can do. Can ISRA help?
Absolutely. Even anonymous email messages contain clues that can help triangulate the sender’s approximate location. Forward one of the messages to us and we’ll take a look.
I represent a London firm. We need to get in touch with a person currently living in Sweden. All we need from him is a signature, but so far we’ve been unable to track him down.
ISRA can help. Our investigators are familiar with all the somewhat murky laws involved in cases such as this one. Just give us a call and we’ll work out a plan.
I’m a lawyer and I have been handed a particularly puzzling case. I need to know where three different individuals were on the night of July 3rd, 2013.
If the individuals you want to track were carrying cellphones, this task will be quite easy. If not, the job will be a bit more difficult– but there are still more than a few options we can explore.
An anonymous stalker won’t stop harassing me. Is there anything ISRA can do to help?
Fortunately, there are many ways to defend against anonymous harassment. Just give the nearest ISRA office a call and schedule an appointment. One of our trained advisors will work with you to develop a plan of action.
I live in the United States and I’m going through a divorce. I suspect that my soon-to-be ex-husband has assets in Europe that he’s trying to hide. Is that something you can help me with?
Yes. As a matter of fact, ISRA handles cases like this all the time. As soon as you provide us with the details surrounding your situation, we can begin the investigation.
My mentally ill brother went off his meds and disappeared. He could be anywhere in the world. Can you help me find him?
Locating homeless and mentally ill people isn’t easy, but our team of investigators can work with you to let you know what your options are. The more information you can provide us, the higher the chance of success will be.
